about

Unifying and increasing visibility in the LGBTQ+ community of the Ozarks.

Pridefest is the largest LGBTQ+ event in Southwest Missouri that attracted over 4,000 people in 2017 and continues to grow every year. We are reaching out to you for your participation in this celebration of equality, diversity, and community.

The Greater Ozarks Pridefest will be held in the epicenter of Springfield’s downtown, Park Central Square on Saturday June 16, 2018, starting with the march at 10 am. There will be live music, vendors, and activities until 10 pm.

Greater Ozarks Pridefest is sponsored by the GLO Center, the LGBTQ+ community center of the Ozarks (www.glocenter.org).

Headlining Act

Headlining Act

The GLO Center and the Greater Ozarks Pridefest Committee, through a grant funded by Springfield Black Tie is proud to announce this year’s Pridefest Headliner: Chris Weaver!

Chris is a New York native who grabbed America’s attention on Season 13 of The Voice with his rendition of “Try A Little Tenderness,” which had all four judges turning their chairs (and in later contests, even throwing some articles of clothes 😉 ).

Chris returned as his drag persona, “Nedra Belle” to perform “Bang, Bang,” in December’s season finale with superstar Jessie J and super drag group Stephanie’s Child.

Chris will grace the Greater Ozarks Pridefest stage with his amazing performance (as himself) at approximately 8:00 pm.
